Baby 1st Network stands in solidarity with those opposed to systematic racism, health disparities, and the trauma endured by African Americans in this country. There are striking racial disparities in maternal mortality, morbidity, and infant health. Black women are more than 3 times more likely to have a maternal death than white women and with the higher rates of black infant mortality in the United States, we can not stand by and remain silent. We must eradicate systemic racism and give black families, mothers, and their babies, a fighting chance. Black babies matter, too!
