Encouraging more authentic conversations with mothers, fathers, and caregivers around safe sleep practices are one way to help improve birth outcomes. But having successful conversations isn’t always easy. Every mother comes with her own beliefs and life experiences. Baby 1st Network will highlight approaching conversations of safe infant sleep practices with realistic and relevant advice, and two-way discussions that are more successful in delivering the message – defined by sincere concern and genuine compassion – and making them stick. Many sleep-related deaths can be prevented, and with education, outcomes can change.

This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. (OBN-001-91).
